Francisco Fernández Romero, BA

Francisco Fernández Romero is a PhD candidate in Geography at the University of Buenos Aires, where he also holds a teaching position. He is also a doctoral fellow at Argentina’s National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET). Fernández Romero serves on the advisory committee for the LGBT+ and feminist archive Sexo y Revolución (CEDINCI/UNSAM), where he coordinates community engagement initiatives, and he is a member of his college’s disability and accessibility program. His dissertation focuses on cisnormativity and ableism in public urban spaces, its effects on everyday life, and trans & disabled activism aimed at broadening access to the city.
