We’ve launched a Center for Applied Transgender Studies. But what exactly is “applied transgender studies” and why do we need it? In this inaugural public event, the Center’s founders, TJ Billard, Avery Everhart, and Erique Zhang, issue an urgent call to action, laying out a vision for the Center itself, as well as for a new orientation within the field of transgender studies.
