We’ve been hard at work all year…
The Center for Applied Transgender Studies is proud to be wrapping up our first year of existence. Over the past eight months we’ve been getting to work to enact our mission and we’re excited to share the details of that work with you in our first annual report in early 2022.
Now for some headline news:
Senior Fellow Austin H Johnson was named Director of the Southern Equality Research and Policy Center, a project of the Campaign for Southern Equality. The project is aimed at developing data-driven social and political interventions that improve the lives of LGBTQ Southerners.
The Center has voted to appoint 10 new Fellows joining the Center starting in January 2022. We will announce the new Fellows publicly in the coming weeks.
On Friday, January 21, 2021, the Center will host a free half-day virtual mini-conference “Applied Trans Technology Studies” from 12pm to 4pm Central Time organized by Senior Fellows Oliver Haimson, Anna Lauren Hoffmann, and Alex Hanna. Registration details will be publicized soon.
